Van Riper Land & Home is a small design-build company based in Deerfield, New Hampshire. We work at the intersection of outdoor living, practical construction, and landscape stewardship.
Our focus is helping homeowners make better use of the land around their homes — from patios and porches to gardens, paths, drainage, and woodland access.
Philosophy
Build for the way the property is actually used.
A successful outdoor space is not just attractive in a photograph. It should be comfortable to reach, comfortable to sit in, properly drained, suited to the seasons, and connected to the rest of the property.
That requires looking beyond a single feature.
A patio may need a better transition from the house. A garden may need a path. A porch may need privacy planting. A sitting area may need drainage, shade, or protection from insects. We consider those relationships from the beginning.
